Chapter Progress01 / 08

“The answer has never changed: holding all three babies in my arms at the same time for the very first time.”

Chapter I

How We Met

Every family has a story, and this is ours through my eyes as a husband and father.

Our journey began at a traditional wedding. I first saw Oge at my sister's traditional wedding and immediately thought she was beautiful. After the ceremony, I asked my sister for her phone number. What began as simple conversations led to our first meeting in Abuja in December 2014.

That first meeting became one of the most important days of our lives. Somehow, during that very first conversation in person, we talked about marriage and even discussed a wedding date. It sounded ambitious at the time, but three years later we followed through exactly as planned and got married on the date we had chosen years before.

Chapter II

Building a Life Together

Over the years, we have built a life rooted in love, friendship, laughter, and adventure. Some of our favorite memories came from traveling together. Whether it was a cabin trip in Tennessee, a summer vacation through Europe, or simply boarding another flight to explore somewhere new, each trip became another chapter in our story.

What has helped our marriage most is simple: we keep trying to make each other happy. Our greatest joy has been building a love-centered home with our first son, who is now 6 years old and deeply loved.

Chapter III

Dreaming of Family

As our family grew, we began talking about having more children. Our 6-year-old son had already filled our home with laughter, wonder, and purpose, and that season of parenting only deepened our desire to grow our family. I had always dreamed of a large family and often talked about having five or more children. At the same time, I always reminded Oge that I would be grateful for however many children we were blessed with.

One thing we never imagined was triplets.

Chapter IV

The Day Everything Changed

Everything changed on March 16th. While I was working from my home office, I got the news that Oge was pregnant. Excited and joking around, I laughed and asked, "Oh, so you're having triplets?"

Neither of us knew just how close that joke would be to reality.

When we later learned we were expecting not one baby, not two babies, but three babies, it felt surreal. The joy was overwhelming. The news brought excitement, gratitude, hope, and plenty of prayers for a healthy pregnancy and healthy babies.

Chapter V

Moments We Will Never Forget

One unforgettable moment came when I called my mother to share the news. Her reaction was immediate. She screamed and began to cry tears of joy.

For me, the reality of becoming parents to triplets truly sank in during the first ultrasound. Seeing the babies on the screen transformed the news into something real. From that moment on, every ultrasound became a treasured milestone. Another beautiful part of this journey has been imagining our 6-year-old son stepping into his new role as a big brother.

Chapter VI

The Strength Behind This Journey

This journey has been filled with excitement, planning, research, and preparation. There have been budgets to create, rooms to prepare, and countless decisions to make.

Through it all, one thing has stood out above everything else: Oge's strength. Watching her navigate a triplet pregnancy has given me an even deeper appreciation for the woman I married. I have watched her make sacrifices, prioritize the babies' health, and stay committed to our family's well-being every day. Her resilience, dedication, and determination have been among the most inspiring parts of this story.

Why This Website Exists

As we look ahead, we dream of raising children who are respectful, intelligent, kind, loving, and successful. We hope to pass down the values that shaped us, the lessons learned from family, and the traditions that connect us to our Igbo heritage.

I created this website to preserve these memories and document this incredible journey. It is a place where family and friends can follow along, celebrate milestones, and share in the excitement of welcoming three new lives into the world.

Chapter VIII

A Gift for the Triplets

Most importantly, this is a gift for the triplets themselves.

One day, when they are older, I hope they will read these words and see this journey through our eyes as parents. I hope they will understand how loved they were long before they arrived, how eagerly they were awaited, and how much joy they brought into the lives of everyone around them.

As for what I look forward to most, the answer has never changed: holding all three babies in my arms at the same time for the very first time.

With love and gratitude
